In September of 2025 several people of the Kwio Akuru community started worshipping under this nunga tree.

The congregation has taken the name True Life Bible Church East Africa and follows the model of Dr. Vrielink’s sending church in Wyoming, Michigan.

In May of 2026 they planted their first daughter church in Ajibu. Preparations are underway for another church plant in Kiweeka in December of 2026.
